Well
this week on Thursday I got sick... I was out of commission for Thursday and
Friday. It sucked, I could have worked but our mission nurse would not allow it
until my cough stopped, lets just say I have found that the BEST cough drops
that can prevent a cough for the longest are called "Fisherman's
Friend" they are brown and wafer like and taste like black licorice and
horehound and evil nastiness, but they work. and I drank a whole box worth of lemon
tea.
That
was the biggest news this week, E****** a.k.a. "E*****" a.k.a.
"L***" is still progressing but because he is a youth we have been
counseled to take things real slow with him and his mother trying to activate
her more and really build his solidity. But things are definitely going well
with that.
This
week we also had the "Christmas Devotional" broadcast to the chapel
and we were able to go and watch. That was really good and I would recommend
watching it for anyone that didn't have the opportunity on lds.org
Miracles:
Elder
H*** and I were harvesting and we knock in to an old SPANISH lady (we were
stoked) and she immediately invites us in, as we step in we see that they are
preparing a bunch of dried peppers, we ask them what they are making and they
say a dish called, Birria, made with a ton of peppers (not the spicy kind the
flavorful kind) and onions and Deer, then as we talk with them we have them
pull up the navidad.mormon.org video.
The spirit was so strong and we invited the younger members of the family to
share it on Facebook, but the little old lady then chirps up and says "voy
a hacerlo tambien" or I am going to do that too. Turns out she has a Facebook with like 600 friends around the world, and she shares it on
Facebook!
Note
to family: get recipe off internet for Birria... stuffs BOMB and gets rid of
all the gamey flavor.
Well
I wish there was more to tell but this was an odd week with me being sick and
all... so there it was!
